What the app does

Map apps often don't say whether an emergency vet is really open overnight. Pet Help keeps its own directory of emergency hospitals and shows you the nearest ones, sorted by distance, with directions for every result and a call button whenever a phone number is listed. It has no account, subscription or advertising.

The app also keeps pet profiles (medications, vaccinations with a photo of the record, your regular vet) that you can hand to an ER as a one-page PDF. It shares those records and your saved places with your household through iCloud, and puts the animal poison control numbers on the home screen.

Nearby ERs are listed nearest first. Rows with the checkmark have confirmed 24/7 hours; the rest say "call to confirm", and a switch shows verified ERs only.

How a listing gets verified

A listing shows "Verified 24/7" only when its hours are confirmed from the facility's own website or its emergency certification, and the source is kept behind each one. Anything not confirmed that way still appears as a nearby result, labeled "call to confirm", with no 24/7 claim.

Hours change without warning, so call ahead either way. Pet Help is a directory, not medical advice.

Coverage

The directory covers the United States. Outside the US the app will still show nearby search results from Apple Maps, but there is no verified listing behind them.

Report a wrong listing

If a hospital's hours, phone number, or address is wrong, open that listing in the app and tap Report a problem on its detail screen. Verified listings and unverified map results both have it. If a hospital or a regular vet is missing, tap Know a vet or ER nearby that's missing? below the top result on Home, or Add a vet or ER we're missing in Settings. Either one opens the Add a vet or ER form, which is short and needs no account. A new listing gets the checkmark only when its 24/7 hours are confirmed from the facility's own website or its emergency certification. Reports come straight to me.

You can also email the details to the address below, which is the better route if the app will not open at all. A phone number, an address, and a link to the hospital's own hours page is all I need.
