Poop is a shared pet stool log. This policy covers the current manual-logging app and legacy records created by earlier versions.
Before a new stool photo is uploaded, the app processes it on the device to reduce its size and remove embedded metadata such as GPS/EXIF data. The resulting photo is stored for the private household log.
Poop uses this information to authenticate users, sync the shared household, store and display entries, generate trends and PDFs, deliver requested notifications, respond to reports, prevent abuse and diagnose service failures.
Build 39 does not send new photos or log fields to Gemini or another generative-AI service. Earlier app versions could send a selected stool photo and related pet/log context to Google's Gemini service to create an editable description. Those historical descriptions and their provenance may remain in a household's existing entries.
Earlier versions also offered an optional Help improve Poop setting. Entries shared while that option was enabled may remain in legacy service data. Build 39 does not enroll users or add new entries to that program. A user who wants help locating or deleting a legacy copy can contact privacy@wickdsmart.com.
Wickd Smart does not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising. Poop does not include an advertising or cross-app tracking SDK.
Full household members can view the household's pet profiles and entry history, including photos and notes created before they joined, and can see other members' name and email. Only invite people you trust. An owner can remove a member; entries that person created may remain as part of the shared household record.
A helper such as a walker or sitter gets limited access to the pets selected by the inviter and can create entries for them. Helpers do not receive the full household history, trends or settings. The inviter can revoke helper access.
Poop uses Google Firebase for authentication, database, private photo storage, Cloud Functions, messaging, diagnostics, abuse prevention, analytics and hosting. Apple and Google may process sign-in data when their sign-in option is used. Data stored by Firebase for Poop is hosted in the United States.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by the service providers. It is not end-to-end encrypted. Access controls and App Check-protected Cloud Functions restrict household data operations, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.
Household data remains available while the household keeps it. Deleting an entry requests removal of that entry and its stored photos. Deleting an account removes that person's account and household access. In a shared household, entries the person created may stay for the remaining members. If the last member deletes the account, the server deletion flow removes the household, its pets, entries and connected photos.
Minimal deletion markers may remain in a shared household to prevent interrupted sync from recreating a deleted entry.
Operational logs, security records and service-provider backups may persist for a limited period where needed for security, recovery, legal obligations or dispute handling. Contact privacy@wickdsmart.com for a privacy or deletion request, including a request about legacy Help improve Poop data.
